The purpose of the Steelhead 5 PSI Compression Train project is to install a low pressure
compression system to sustain production from existing gas wells with declining flow rates and
reservoir pressure. The low pressure compression train will condition and compress low pressure
natural gas to feed the existing transport compressors.
Project execution is to be phased over two construction seasons in 2011 and 2012. The end goal of the 2011 construction effort is to have the new low pressure header and separator system installed, functionally tested and placed in service. The 2012 construction effort will include C-deck structural modifications and installation of the new low pressure compressor package, H-C7600.
